Jean-François Coget, PhD is Dean of the College of Business at Sacramento State University, where he leads efforts to reimagine business education for the age of artificial intelligence. A French-American scholar and leadership educator, he is passionate about helping organizations and individuals navigate change with both rigor and humanity. Before joining Sac State, he served as Dean of Business at Sonoma State University and as Associate Dean and Professor of Management at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Jean-François earned his Ph.D. in Management from UCLA, where his research explored leadership, emotion, and decision-making—a blend of psychology and management that continues to shape his work today. His publications have appeared in journals such as Academy of Management Learning & Education and Organization Studies. Outside academia, he’s a lifelong advocate for creativity, sustainability, and the integration of technology with human values.
