Anca Cristina Micu, PhD

Anca Cristina Micu, PhD is Senior Associate Dean and Professor of Marketing at the Charles F. Dolan School of Business, Fairfield University. She previously served as Associate Dean at the Jack Welch College of Business & Technology, Sacred Heart University.

Originally from Romania, Dr. Micu has lived and worked in Romania, Luxembourg, and the United States. She earned a B.S. in Finance from the Romanian Academy of Economic Studies and both her MBA and Ph.D. in Marketing Communication from the University of Missouri–Columbia.

An advertising scholar and educator, she is a former editor of the American Academy of Advertising Newsletter and has presented and published extensively in journals such as the Journal of Advertising, Journal of Advertising Research, Journal of Marketing Communications, and Internet Research.

Her most recent publication, AI Made Simple: Copy and Paste Guides for Everyday Tasks, brings artificial intelligence literacy to a broad audience. Dr. Micu is also active in the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), where she serves on the Eligibility Review Committee and frequently presents on higher-education marketing and business-school accreditation.

She has worked and consulted with organizations including BBDO, the Advertising Research Foundation (ARF), Time Inc., and Estée Lauder. A polyglot, she speaks Romanian, Hungarian, and English fluently, with working knowledge of French, German, and Spanish.
