Jamie M. Smith, MBA is the Public Information Officer and Associate Vice President of Government Relations at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF), with over 25 years of experience in integrated marketing, public affairs, and strategic communications. She holds an MBA in Management and Marketing and is a graduate of Leadership Florida and the Gulf Coast Leadership Institute.

As SCF’s spokesperson, Smith leads media relations and government outreach. Over the course of her career, she has earned numerous state and national honors—including SCF’s Innovation Grant, multiple Awards of Excellence, and recognition as Executive Producer of a Telly Award-winning agency video. She is widely recognized for strengthening public engagement, building community awareness, and guiding the college through major initiatives and crisis communications with clarity and credibility.

An adjunct professor, Smith teaches business, marketing, and communication courses, providing students with practical, real-world insight. She is active in professional organizations and community volunteer work — always learning, connecting, and capturing the moment with her signature selfies.
